The Education and Business Summit (EBS) is the premier Career and Technical Education (CTE) state conference hosted by the Office of Career and Technical Education at the South Carolina Department of Education. EBS is designed to provide learning opportunities in Career & Technical Education content, develop best practices for use in the classroom or in administrative roles, create strategies to prepare South Carolina students for college and career readiness, and prepare participants to develop stronger CTE courses and programs for the success of all students. Through this unique professional development conference, educational leaders will be empowered to mold students into citizens that align to the Profile of the South Carolina graduate, which includes World Class Knowledge, World Class Skills, and Life and Career Characteristics. Collaboration between business/industry, career guidance, CTE teachers, administrators, post-secondary, and parents, will equip students with the skills needed to seamlessly transition from secondary to post-secondary education, the military, or career. A message for the state CTE Director Welcome #FutureReadyCTE June 10 , 2020 Dear 2020 Education and Business Summit Attendees: In an abundance of caution, we have decided to move the 2020 Education and Business Summit to July 20-23, 2020 in a VIRTUAL format. Presenters will still travel to the Greenville Convention Center to present. Our hope is that we will provide the necessary assistance to you as we transition to a new normal within the world of education during this pandemic. If you are a presenter, you will soon receive written notification regarding your presentation. Your presentation will now be delivered virtually via ZOOM. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, our desire is to serve you in preparation for innovative eLearning instructional strategies for Career and Technical Education, effective use of time as we transition back into schools, and valuable information to prepare our future workforce to become #FutureReadyCTE. If you have already made your hotel reservation, you will be responsible for changing your reservation. The Summit planning committee will not be able to make changes to your personal reservation.
